Description

We will leave New York for Boston at 5:50 AM. We will pass through the state of Connecticut, where we will stop for breakfast before arriving in Massachusetts. We will begin our city tour with a stop at Copley Square, where we will find the Trinity Church, the John Hancock Tower, the Old South Church, the first public library in the United States, and the finish line of the Boston Marathon. The tour guide will provide an explanation and give you free time to walk around, take pictures, and use the restroom. We will then continue along Massachusetts Avenue, passing the Church of Christ the Scientist, the Boston Symphony, and the prestigious Berklee College of Music until we reach the Back Bay neighborhood, where we will walk and enjoy the red stone architecture and Victorian style reminiscent of Paris. We will cross the Charles River to visit Cambridge, a university town home to MIT and Harvard University. We will stop to walk around the Harvard campus and soak up the university atmosphere. We will return to Boston to visit and walk around the neighborhood with its charming narrow cobblestone streets in Federal style and lit by gas lanterns, giving it a touch of distinction and elegance. In this neighborhood, we will find one of the country's first cemeteries, where some of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence are buried, as well as the Massachusetts State House and the Freedom Trail. We will pass by the site of the Boston Massacre, one of the triggers of the War of Independence. We will arrive at Quincy Market, which was the first major project after the city was founded in 1822 and was named after the mayor at the time. We will have 1 hour of free time for lunch and shopping for souvenirs.
