Description
We'll leave New York for Boston at 5:50 AM. We'll pass through Connecticut, where we'll stop for breakfast before arriving in Massachusetts. We'll start our city tour with a stop at Copley Square, where you'll find the Church of the Holy Trinity, the John Hancock Tower, the Old South Church, the first public library in the USA, and the Boston Marathon finish line. The guide will give an explanation and give you free time to walk, take pictures, and use the bathroom. Then we'll continue along Massachusetts Avenue, passing by the Church of Christ the Scientist, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the prestigious Berklee College of Music, until we reach the Back Bay neighborhood, where we'll stroll to admire its red stone and Victorian-style architecture, similar to Paris. We'll cross the Charles River to visit Cambridge, a university town where you'll find MIT and Harvard University. We'll stop to walk around the Harvard Campus and feel the university atmosphere. We'll head back to Boston to visit and walk around the neighborhood, with its charming narrow, cobblestone streets in the Federal style, lit by gas lamps, giving it a touch of distinction and elegance. In this neighborhood, you'll find one of the country's first cemeteries, where some of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence are buried, the Massachusetts State House, and the Freedom Trail. We'll pass by the site of the Boston Massacre, one of the triggers of the War of Independence. We'll arrive at Quincy Market, which was the first major project after Boston became a city in 1822 and was named in honor of the mayor at that time. You'll have 1 hour of free time for lunch and to buy souvenirs.Includes
